Simply Snowdrops

Of all the new releases over on A Passion for Stamps this beautiful Snowdrop digi image just spoke to me. Snowdrops were my Paternal Grandmas favourite flower so they always remind me of her. She passed away when I was 10 but I have so many happy memories of her. Dad and I visited her ever Sunday morning. She was always baking, making pies and such and I used to beg her to let me crimp the edges..her apple pie was to die for!! and I always got a pound note pocket money :) happy days

For my card I used the snowdrops digi image from A Passion for Stamps which I printed out twice onto papermillshop linen effect cardstock.
I coloured them with prisma pencils and cut one out with a circle nestie then I decoupaged a few of the petals. Thenwashed over them lightly with sakura stardust pen picked up with a waterbrush. Shame you can't quite see on the picture as it gives a really subtle shimmery effect to the snowdrops.
I made a debossed circular frame on the card blank by laying the same nestie onto the card blank and flipping over before running round with an embossing tool.
The sentiment was again computer generated ( honeyscript font) and I added a few faux pearls to finish.

Not often I say this but I LOVE how this card turned out. Looks even better in real life :)

A passion for stamps have some stunning new realses recently. Some more stunning flowers and the cutest little spring animals you ever did see.

Thanks for stopping by

Here's a little card I have made for our goddaughter.
She lives up north many miles away so we don't get to see her half as much as we would like and she is always sending us funny little gifts/cards/pictures to let us now how she is getting on so this is a little card to just to say thanks and to let her know that we miss her too.

The image is Violet from Crafty Sentiments coloured with prisma pencils
The background is parcel paper stamped with an old See'ds daisy stamp using versacolour white ink
The sentiment is from the recent Molly Bloom stamp giveaway in simply cards and papercraft
Dark brown card is from the papermill shop online

Also a little apology to anyone who ever gives me any blog awards. I generally sit and schedule my blog posts/do commenting etc at the weekends and by the time I have gotten around to realising that I have an award waiting for me it has usually been around the circuit 5 times and I always end up with no-one to pass them onto and I just don't have the time to sit searching through loads of blogs to find ones that haven't received them yet. I do hope you understand and don't think I am being rude or ungrateful by not participating.

Hope you are having a good week

A lot of people asked how....

I made this card here

Well the answer is it's very very simple
All you need is 2 square card blanks and a piece of card measuring the same as one of cards when folded.

Take the 2 card blanks and score down the middle of both fronts so you end up with two card that look like this

Stick the 2 backsides together to give you this

Then adhere the square piece of card to one of the fold backs
You can stick it on any side whatever suits really

You can either adhere it as shown above and that will fit in an C5 envelope if using 6x6 cards
or you can adhere the panel so it lines up with the outside edge of the flap then when folded
it will go into the square envelope

Anyway hope that helps

Welcome Baby and Digistamp Boutique news

I made this little card and little pressie for a lady I know who is having a little bundle any day now. I don't know her that well she is a friend of a friend really so I just wanted something small to give along with the card so I made these little milk cartons and holder with my Hougie board. I added a couple of bibs/vests/socks/dummies in each of the 4 cartons.

I will make a tag with to/from with the babies name when she has actually had the baby. She knows it's a girl and what she is calling her but you never know do you? until they actually see the baby whether the name will suit. My niece was having a Grace all along her pregnancy but when she arrived they decided she was more of a Harriet lol

Well I hope you are having a good weekend despite this awful bloomin weather we are having here in the uk again. It has been so windy here in Coventry I though my roof was going to lift off last night!!!

Have you seen the latest news over on the Digistamp Boutique blog?
Sally-Ann has introduced a fab new monthly giveaway

Three lucky people will receive this digi (black outlines only), plus a £5 voucher to spend on the website! (winners will be chosen randomly and you can only enter once.)
