I'm not a square!!!!

Yes I know it's a miracle I've made a card that isn't a square!!!lol
This is going to be another of my crafty New years resolutions to try and get out of my square card rut!

For this card I have used Birthday Josh from Digi Stamp Boutique and coloured him with prisma color pencils
I stamped some brown parcel paper up with some stars from an old studio g clear set with walnut stain distress ink and matted onto some dark brown papermill card that has been punched using an xcut border punch
I coloured the sentiment which was a freebie a long time ago from pollycraft designs to match.
You should pop along to Digi Stamp Boutique and have a nose..
.....Sally Ann has 20% off all images at the moment.

How was your Xmas??? All ready for New Years??
We had a lovely Xmas spent the day with my Mum, Stepdad, Brother and Nan. Almost had a disaster in the kitchen when my steamer decided not to work..hubby to the rescue though .... phew!! Our Lunch was delicious if I do say so my self. Xmas is now officially over though as I have now eaten my own weight in rubbish lol
Santa was very good to me and although I didn't get any crafty Xmas pressies I did get lot's of pennies to spend on crafty goodies. :)

Another set for my niece

Niece no:3 also asked me to make cards etc for niece no:2's 30th.
This one is from niece no:3 kiddies (Olly & Harriet) to give her.

The images are from the clip art fairy I printed one lot onto card and the other onto tissue paper
I coloured them both with prisma color pencils before making one into a card and heat setting the other onto this candle. This is a fab technique which I am being asked to do more and more of.
There is a fab tut on splitcoaststampers here. To print on the tissue paper I cut some slightly smaller than A4 and tape it securely on ALL sides to a sheet of a4 copier paper before running through the printer.
I also printed a personal message from the kids onto the back of the candle.

Hope you like and thanks for stopping by

Valentine Henry ...

... But not for Valentines

For my Nephew-in-law to give to my niece for her 30th
I used the same papers as I used for the card I made for her son to give her..She loves coordinating things

The card blank is 8x8
The image is the super adorable Valentine Henry from the Digi Stamp Boutique
I have coloured him with prisma colour pencils
The sentiment was computer generated .
I added a few punched/shaped flowers a few pearls and some faux stitching to finish.

Again not the greatest of photos..Not sure what I am gonna do!! The camera we have is 10 mega pixels and we haven't had it that long so I can't justify buying another but it's absolutely rubbish at taking photos when it's gloomy ( any hints and tips would be most appreciated). I can't put the flash on because then it just whites everything out...grr it's doing my nut in and to top it all off my bloomin (NEW) printer has now decided to print anything I print in black blurry!!! I'm poorly again as well so I'm fed up big time tonight.. Right I've had my feeling sorry for ones self rant now so I'm off to bed , hope I feel better in the morning :(

Take care peeps and thanks for stopping by

mummy 30th

Well my second Niece is thirty in 2 weeks...blimey that makes one feel old!! :(
Here is a card her hubby asked me to make from there son Jack Stanley

I think it's quiet obvious by now that COCO is my all time favourite image from Digi stamp boutique. He's soooo bloomin cute and very versatile indeed. I cannot tell you how many cards I have made using this little fella . Being a digi I can have him any size I want and he's a dream to colour too! What more could a crafter

I haven't a clue were the backing paper is downloaded from. I spotted it when browsing my ever growing jumbled up files of papers etc..must try and sort that out some day! Another thing added to the million and one thing to do list ... lol

I hope you like
Will try and get round to a bit of blog hopping this weekend . I know I am being awful at returning all your lovely comments again..sorry :(

Also apologies for the awful photos again. The light is absolutely again today! I'm gonna have a go at making a home made light box/studio thing at the weekend ...gulp

Here' s a little card I made using one of the many Christmas Digi images from the Digi stamp boutique
This one is called Francis.. you can buy him as single images or as part of a set..Isn't he cute?

I coloured him with prisma pencils and cut and mounted him onto circle nestabilities
I stamped the background snowflakes and the sentiment in versamark and dusted over with shimmer chalk before adding a good smattering of glamour dust to both the background and the image

You should pop over to the digi stamp boutique and have a browse, there is 15% off all coco the bear images at the moment too.

Once again apologies for the awful picture! it's just soooo dark here at the mo. Must check out one of those photo booth thingies. Anyone got any tips for home made ones?

chocolate snowmen stocking filler

I saw this post on kerrys blog and just had to have a go at these adorable choccie snowmen.
Kerry Has done a great vid tut explaining how to make the little fleece hats/scarves..super easy!!
The idea and free printable snowman can be found here on the very talented Laurie's site
Alternative link to download wrapper as the one on laurens site seems to be playing up. Please leave lauren some thanks on her post though Ta

This one contains 140g bar of dairy milk but you can easily make the printable smaller
or larger to fit and choccie bar.
I got my "fleece" from ikea for 99p which will probably make about a hundred
of these little hats and scarves lol

These will another stocking filler for the great nieces and nephews. We usually give them money or vouchers which I always find a bit boring so I usually try and come up with a little something to go with them. It's become a bit of a tradition now lol.

The scallop boreder was cut using an xcut border punch
and to finish I added some christmassy ribbon and a few red pearls

A more traditional Christmas

Here's a little card I have made for my Nan. We all know I have a tendency for the more cute images, well I thought I better go a bit more traditional for my Nan. She is a great lover of birds so this Digi image from A passion for stamps will be perfect for her.
Ruth has some absolutely beautiful New Winter images

I loved colouring this image. Colouring the holly brought back so many lovely Christmas memories of my childhood. In the miners strike we couldn't afford to buy a tree so my Dad dug up a holly tree which we had at the top of our garden. We went across to the woods with mum which was directly over our garden fence and gathered lots of other greenery berries, pine cones etc and Mum who I have to say was a dab hand at floristry etc decorated our house with it all.
It looked absolutely stunning and everyone that came to visit us that year took an intake of breath followed by a wow when coming through the door. We had no money and I remember that my presents were donated by European miners. My main present was a "proper" second hand china tea set ( which I still have), oh wow! I thought I was the bees. I didn't have a lot else that year maybe a few chocolates and some jamas but it just goes to show that you don't need lots of material things to have fantastic memories because I can honestly say that that was the best Christmas I EVER had!
Such a shame that Christmas seems to have turned into a shopping frenzy these days, don't ya think?
