Friday

snowman soup

Been making these today for stocking fillers for my great nieces and nephews.

I have done eight this afternoon only another 8 to go lol

Ingredients
mug from bargain store
2 sachets of hot chocolate
bag of mini marshmallows
bag of choc chips
candy cane

cello wrap from ebay
printed labels myself

The other side of the tag reads:

One day I met a snowman
Frosty was his name
He told me his secret recipe
For snowman soup, he claimed

On the days he gets really chilly
“BRRRR!!”
He makes a yummy brew
And since it’s such a lovely treat
I thought I’d share it with you

Open up your soup packet
And pour into your cup
Add hot water to the mix
Take the cane and stir it up

Add some snowman kisses
And a few snowballs for fun
It’s sure to warm your spirits
When the winter day is done

I was going to make little boxes to put the ingredients in but when I spotted these mugs in home bargains for 59p!!! what a bargain and save me a lot of cutting out too lol

I hope all your xmas preparations are going well. Mine are not!! lol
Not enough hours and all that :(

Better get off now and do some more!!

Thursday

rudolph the recycled reindeer

First of all I just want to say thank you soooo much for all the lovely messages and good wishes for my mum. I am pleased to report she is now out of hospital :) hooray!! She has been quite poorly. Not helped by picking up E coli while she was in there!! Which ment her being but in isolation and what with her lack of vision you can imagine how depressed she became. But thankfully she is deffo on the mend now :)))))

Anyways on to my card . I made a batch of these a few weeks ago. The "kraft" card which Rudolphs head is cut from is actually the boxes which my papermillshop card came in and the antlers and nose are cut from bits of card and funky foam from my scrap draw or should I say mountain? I really must try and throw some of it away (yeh right)lol

I inked around the edges and hand drew the eyes/ mouth. The merry christmas is froma 99p studio g set. I punched the snowflakes from DST paper and added glaour dust to finish.

Off now to hopefully get a good nights sleep... Not getting much of that just lately, so fingers crossed xxxx

Hope you like and thanks for stopping by

That bauble stamp

Over on the docrafts forum this stamp is the hot news. No one can get hold of it since it has been discontinued. Anyway my friend had kindly sent me hers because she wasn't all that keen on it. How kins was that eh? Well it came this morning and to say I was excited was an understatement lol I got straight to work and this is what I have produced
This first one is for my nieces to give to her hubbies auntie and uncle. Her words " they are posh" So I hope it is posh enough for um lol

Heres the detail. I stamped the image again and decoupaged the baubles then added gems and glamour dust for interest

This one is for hubbies auntie to give to her daughter and sil
And this one is the same technique just on a square card

Hope you like then. I can deffo feel some more cards coming on using this stamp .... so you might become a bit bored of seeing them lol

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Wednesday

R.I.P Buster

I am VERY sad today :(
My poor Buster was knocked over last night and sadly his injuries were to severe and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to have him put to sleep.
We are very angry that whatever scumbag ran him over did not have the decency to stop!!Pig.
But thankful that a lovely lady passing by saw him struggling to get back the path and stopped to help.

To say we are devastated is an understatement. I have not stopped crying yet and hubby is just as bad. I will miss him so much. Our only comfort is that we know that he has had a good life with us, to be honest he has been spoiled rotten! He was generally lopping most of the time either upside down on the sofa or snuggled up next to one of us having a good old fuss. I will miss those fusses the most!!
We love you Buster our beautiful boy and you will never be forgotten

Tuesday

Seven cards in....

...4 Hrs.
Well, we did come home last night :( Couldn't stand anymore sick and you know ewwww plus I didn't want to risk catching the dreaded lurgy with my stomach being the way it is anyway.
So I am really trying to make the most of this free time. I set myself a challenge to see how many xmas cards I could make today. And here are the results so far, well 5 of them cos Thats how many photos this site will let me upload in one post lol. Will show you the others tomorrow. I still have 4 more image coloured in so will try and make those into something this evening.
I have keep the colours the same for all of them to try and make them quicker to do. Seems to have worked so far.
Hope you like them

Sunday

It was my nans 90th yesterday. We had a huge family meal at a local hotel. But because the kids were missing out on halloween I thought I would make them a treat.
I made 12 of these!! Blimey it was hard work cutting out all the templates but well worth it, as the kids loved them!
I got the free template from this fabulous blog
http://bettys-creations.blogspot.com/
I doubled the size of the template and printed them onto printed backing papers onto card from http://summertimedesigns.blogspot.com/
The images are all free too and coloured with prismacolour pencils
I cut out the bats myself and added pearl eyes and glitter veins
Sentiment computer generated and cut out using nesties. Little plastic critters from asda. I filled them with sweets and little halloween toys.

We had a fabulous time and It was great to get all the family together.
My Gorgeous Nan

And the fab cake my niece made for her

Hope you are all having a fab weekend and enjoy the rest for your sunday whatever you are doing.

Stamped name with studio g 99p alpha set and mounted up onto 3d foam
bow and pearl to finish
Box made in the same materials

An heres a card for my Sister to give him

Something to treasure ?????

I have recently been lucky enough to have been working with some lovely craft papers from photo paper direct
I have been wanting to make hubbies cousin something different for when their baby arrives as a keepsake and their inkjet tshirt transfer paper gave me an idea.
I bought a set of basic white bibs from tesco and set to work. The paper was super easy to work with. Basically you just print, cut out and iron on.
I printed the main symbol and wording then cut it out and ironed on
Then printed some patterned paper and punched out some tiny flowers with a mini xcut punch and ironed those on too.

This is how it started life

This is my practice run, what do you think?

And heres a wine bottle tag I made with the scraps

I have coloured all the imges with prismacolor pencils and all the flowers are made from a cuttlbug die, xcut punch and woodware grass punch

I have been making these over the last couple of weeks.
My niece wanted them all to match. Needed by the end of the month.
Hope my stepdad is out of hospital by then and I get the time.
Thanks for all your good wishes and asking about him. He was going for another ct scan this morning cos they now think he has a secondary infection but are not sure where. He did look alot better in his self last night though.

Saturday

about bloomin time....

... I hear you cry!!! lol

Long time no post, sorry about that. Everyday life has sort of taken over at the mo.. don't know where the time goes!!
I was asked to make this card by a lady for a couple who are getting married but live on a narrowboat. Yes I says thinking that should be easy enough, bound to be plenty of images on the net..lol how wrong was I? So after hours scrouring the net and enlisting the help of my forum buddies I still couldn't come up with anything half decent. So I admitted defeat and made this instead. Minus one narrowboat but I like it so I'm happy.. Hopefully the lady who asked me to make it won't be too dissapointed that I couldn 't incorporate the narrowboat... well she better be cos it's this or nothing ..lolI decorated the inside too

Recipe:
Image from here coloured with prisma pencils (amazing value and excellent service)
paper free download.. not sure where from at mo
punches xcut flower and woodware grass
gems and ribbon from stash

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Hubby has sorted out my settings thing (i hope) and I can now access most blogs and comments. So I am off for a great big blog hop tonight. Gawd it's an exciting life I lead isn't it? Not that your blogs aren't all great but saturday night on the laptop not exactly the party lifestyle I had envisaged myself leading lol
